How to change $ to pound sign on my new keyboard

New keyboard has only a dollar sign! Is there a way I can change it to a pound sign???

Control panel/region,language options/select English. XP installs by default US keyboard even when you select the option UK you then have to remove the US one.

In the control panel there should be an icon named "regional and language options", assuming you are using XP. What Os are you using?
