Hi all,

Currently finalising my defence for a court case I have on 27 September.

Could fellow parking charge fighters take a look at the link below and offer any advice please?

This is in relation to the keeper of the vehicle parked in a space which is issued to the property they live in. The defence has been lifted from Cuppel69.

Please note anything in yellow is merely a note for me to go and check the land registry in the morning so may or may not be relevant to the case.

Please note I also know this'll need some better formatting.

Evidence will include the parking permit and the lease of the property.

The forum won't let me add links as a new user so is there a way I can get round this so I can share it with everyone please?

All advice will be appreciated.

If you have a hearing on 27th September, then you filed a Defence some weeks/months ago.

Perhaps it should be a Witness Statement you are now compiling, together with gathering evidence and creating a Costs Schedule.

Just write out the web address in words so that anyone who wants to can work out what to type into their browser (eg forums dot moneysavingexpert dot com)

Too much faffing about to convert all the spaces and words into symbols/punctuations. Some newbies make a right meal of posting dead links.

Simply copy and paste the url, the just leave one single space in it (for a regular to close up), or change https to hxxps for conversion.

Wow - 6,754 words. That's going to run to about 15 pages of A4. University theses are often shorter!

I'm afraid I glazed over just looking at it (but my levels of attention to detail aren't as good as some here) and you have to ask how a busy Judge is going to cope with this as well as ask how proportional it is in regard to a hearing of (probably) just a few minutes for a relatively small sum of money in dispute.

A Witness Statement should be an account of the story, in the first person, and should include any evidence to support the original defence. Yours seems to be far more, and I'm not sure whether it will help or hinder your case.

Major error by the court!

Evidence and WS AFTER the hearing?! LOL! Their error.

They meant 30th August but you have been disadvantage by the court error. So only fair you put the WS & evidence in this week, technically late, and tell the Judge why, if criticised!
