Halifax S&S ISA - Partial Transfers Out?

Apologies in advance for the probably silly questions, but I've spent the last half an hour on the Halifax web site looking for an answer but failed to find one, and their web chat facility doesn't seem to work for me.

Does the Halifax Self-Select Stocks and Shares ISA allow partial transfers out to another provider, or does the entire ISA have to be transferred?

What I want to do is move the Cash balance from the Halifax S&S ISA into a Cash ISA with another provider, without touching any of the shares held in the ISA. The new provider tells me this is possible and they support it, but I need to confirm with the Halifax whether they allow partial transfers out.

Unless anyone has any red-hot tips (!) I don't want to purchase any more shares inside the ISA at present, but I want to keep the cash balance inside an ISA to retain its tax-free status, but also earn some interest on it too by moving it into an interest-paying Cash ISA. (It's a significant amount of money resulting from a recent dividend.)

Thanks in advance.

Suggest you try phoning them as their policy on this is not clear from their website. It's probably an unusual request as most people would either want to reinvest within the S&S ISA (you don't need red-hot tips just a good mainstream accumulation fund with a suitable volatility profile) or take income to spend.

Thanks for the reply. I've never invested in a 'fund' before, and I don't understand the fees and charges, so I loath to go down that road without doing some research first.

Anyway, I got through to them on the phone, and the answer is Yes - they do allow partial transfers out.
