‘Used’ mobile phone; suggestions please.
My daughter would like to replace her Nexus 6P phone;...she’s quite happy to purchase a ‘used’ phone (with decent battery life) up to an absolute max of £175,...but preferably lower as she’s in the process of moving house and has quite a lot of expense coming up.
She uses her phone for calls/WhatsApp/banking apps etc, general web access but nothing too intensive, camera, photo and music storage; 32GB ram should??? suffice. She uses her laptop & PC for most internet based activities and only uses the mobile when she’s not at home/office.
She wants a workable sized screen but she finds the Nexus 6P (159.3 x 77.8 x 7.3 mm) a bit on the large size. Her Nexus 6P also has some very quirky/intermittent faults and the battery life has never been impressive...she’s had it from new;...so a 2nd hand Nexus 6P is not an option she’d consider.
I’m certainly no mobile phone expert ;...however, I’ve had a trawl through MusicMagpie and identified a few potential (EE network) candidates:-
i-phone SE; £85 inc del with 12 months warranty. 64GB
i-phone 6s ; £145 inc del with 12 months warranty. 64GB
Samsung Galaxy S6; £100 inc del with 12 months warranty. 32GB
Samsung Galaxy S7; £115 inc del with 12 months warranty. 32GB
Samsung Galaxy S8; £175 inc del with 12 months warranty. 64GB
Any comments on the above please?... or any other suggestions/recommendations?
As ever, all replies gratefully received. Thank you in advance.:)

If you go with an i phone some are no longer supported by Apple...not sure if it is SE or 6.
Also Argos sell refurbished phones on e bay - might be worth taking a look.0 -
I'd go for the Samsung S8 as it's the most up to date with Android 9 and may (not yet known) get Android 10. Either way it will be supported for longer than the iPhones.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Apple are releasing iOS 13 for the SE but not the 6.
I suspect the S8 will stay with Android 9 as it will have had two software updates since it was released (shipped with Nougat and has received Oreo and Pie) but given your daughter already has an Android device for ease of transferring data etc across I’d personally recommend the S8 over an iPhone. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

I bought the one in the middle for less £150 new. The third one sells for around the same. The first is an S8 for the purpose of comparison.0 -

I love my iPhone SE (as I have very small hands) and can confirm it it still supported by Apple. No idea how long that support will last though:o0

The iPhone se only had a 4 inch screen compared with 5 inches plus for the various Samsung models you list.
The SE is very good (and still supported by Apple) but I'm sure the small screen will not be suitable given her requirement of a "workable sized screen"
I use a Samsung galaxy S7 but it is limited to Android 8. The Galaxy s8 would be a good option as it is reasonably compact but has a good sized screen.0
