Help! CE Parking Court Action!

Hi,
Please help with any advice.
I am currently being taken to small claims by CE.
Car was parked at my partners place of work where CE manage parking.
We received a notice threatening bailiffs first of all, no letter with any pics or times etc.
I assumed it was a mistake, will explain shortly.
Few more letters, then a letter with pics, times etc of a second 'offence'.
I then contacted CE explaining that the vehicle was not being used by a customer, as stating on signage, but as an employee. It transpired there is a database of employee vehicles which are exempt from fines, but the person who was supposed to enter our vehicle had left their job without doing it, unbeknownst to us!
CE basically said tough.
I appealed to POPLA, who said tough.
I then received a letter saying we could have mediation with Northampton Business Court, which I agreed to as I cannot afford mounting court costs.
I then received a letter a couple of weeks ago, as notice of transference to local County Court!!
Unfortunately, being a normal person, with a normal wage, I cannot afford fancy solicitors, so I am going to hedge my bets to me losing my defence, and incurring loads of court costs on top of the fines.
Am I better off calling it a day and offering CE monthly payments to pay it off?
Do you think they will even agree?
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Yours,

Don't panic! But do take the time to really read post 2 of the NEWBIES thread. You might also want to search this board for "another one bites the dust", which is the tagline for all of the cases that have been won by posters on this board. It might help to reassure you that these are defendable. Even if you lose at court, the chances of you having to pay the full alleged debt is unlikely.
There is so much resource on here, but it's a case of really reading it.Natwest OD - Start: £1,500 Current: £1,500 | Creation Loan - Start: £2,152.33 Current: £2,082.90 | Barclaycard CC - Start: £5,242.42 Current: £5,416.45 | Novuna Loan - Start: £8,598.43 Current: £8,366.04 | Tesco CC - Start: £9,420.22 Current: £9,885 | Northridge Car - Start: £15,584 Current: £15,017
