  • This sounds like a system deliberately designed to fail.
All it takes is a receptionist entering one digit incorrectly for a PCN to be issued.

You have been informed that they can cancel so your task is to track down the individual with that power.
Would they want their grief stricken elderly mother/father pursued for this eye watering amount ?

Point out that this may well go to court and they could well be called as a witness to explain why there is a hidden iPad.

Be the nuisance they want to see the back of.

I, generally, agree with this. Find the right person.. In this case, if getting past reception is an issue, might well be worth a letter detailing the facts

I still am not sure about the relevance of the IPad, though, in a court case for this given the driver wasn't visiting the health centre (and it appears isn't a patient there). I am not arguing (honest) and would be interested in an explanation as to why.

Wow, that notice is a 'bum height' only suitable for children or people in wheelchairs to read. And even then there is nothing to tell 'customers' that there is a penalty for breach...or how much that is.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Do have a scroll... you can see the ones in the car park outside too. I think they’ve made a special effort to keep the height guidelines but the size is pretty unsuitable!

Yes an the entrance sign just welcomes 'staff, patients & visitors' and although it no doubt mentions to read other signs for the t&cs, you can't properly read the high up signs and would not be expecting to somehow have to register to prove you are patient or visitor.
