If a thread has been closed by either a bg or the forum team, you won't be able to comment or quote on that thread I am afraid.
You can link to a closed thread though, ie this is a closed thread here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4897093/discount-codes-and-vouchers-board-stickyI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Please note that Ambassadors are not moderators. Any posts you spot in breach of the Forum Rules should be reported via the report button, or by emailing forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com. I clicked on the post number at the top right hand corner of the post, it opened in a new screen, and I copied and pasted the link from the 'address bar'(?)
It may not be the way that technical peeps would do it - or explain it- but it works
