I've no problem whatsoever logging into my account.
I did get an email today saying I have an incomplete application though and that I need to contact them on the 0800 number, that despite already depositing the minimum amount.
I think it's the app form and signature they need, it's in the post but I didn't return it quickly.
Having tried to call and verify I gave up. The call wait times are truly horrendous.'We don't need to be smarter than the rest; we need to be more disciplined than the rest.' - WB0 -

Yep often the case when a top saving account launched; even though it's been withdrawn they'll still be dealing with the 'fallout'.
I've had no probs getting through in normal circumstances in the past... or even when they top the market with their fixed rates.
I kind of wish they hadn't done both 'cos I already had 2 FTBs with them, so couldn't take much advantage of the saver.0 -
Note it sometimes is slow to load.
Hi again,
I've tried what you suggested and all I get "deposit information" screen, with a few paragraphs of text. I've tried waiting for a few minutes, still doesn't load any FT accounts.
;-(If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0 -

Yes it does have to be funded before you'll see it, because they hold your transferred funds in a holding account until it reaches the sum you indicated in the application.0 -
Sorry - I didn't actually read your question in detail - I was adding to another poster's reply:

Thanks very much. I best go stick some money in it now! ;-)If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0 -
I was going to open a fixed term deposit account with them, but not yet sure if this thread has put me off altogether! I'll study it a bit more before committing myself (& I've logged a "call back" with them so I'll see how long it takes for a response).
Before starting an on-line application it states I'll need my NI number, but it also seems like I might need assorted ID/address documents as well, either in branch in person or certified copies.
No local branch & I can't be asked to pay for certifying things, can anyone who wasn't previously a customer confirm I WILL need to post documents? Never had to before with NI & a nominated bank a/c.Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
I wasn't asked to send anything in when it came to the instant access account. I cant imagine that the process will be any different for the fixed term accounts.0

I've opened both types of accounts, fixed term and also an everyday saver. I didn't have to send any paperwork off. I supplied my NI details when signing up, a few days later I got my welcome letter along with online details and that was that. Very simple process.
The only thing to return to them, is the signature form. But they supply a repaid envelope for that.If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0 -
Hi.
I see Al Rayan now have a IOS App. However I am having trouble logging in. It doesn't appear to recognise my online credentials.
Anyone else downloaded and able/not able to login via the App?If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0 -

They can say what THEIR experience was but that won't guarantee it'll be the same for you, either way.
You could just apply and if asked for certified stuff, not bother.0
