I am using 30-00-83 for the faster payments into my Everyday Saver. There must be a reason why they also have 30-00-00 - best to ask them.
    .

Where did you get these sort codes from?

All I was given was my reference number upon opening my saver account. There is no mention of a sort code for paying in at all.

these codes appear in the paying-in book they sent me -- a set of standard bank giro credit slips which have printed on them "al-rayan bank, lloyds bank collection account" sort code 30-00-00 a/c no:00201642 plus my own unique 8 digit customer account number and name.

on the first page it says:
"the pre-printed slips within this book are for use with payments made at bank branch counters.
they should not be used for other payments.
for direct debits, standing orders and electronic transfers into your account quote the following details:
    sort code: 30-00-83
    account no: xxxx xxxx"

I had used that sort code before on an Al Rayan account that is now closed. However, I did call them to reconfirm. I then sent a £1 test payment - something I always do with new accounts, with any bank. Once successfully received, I then transferred more money.

I wouldnt risk it you dont know where your funds are going
Do you know, or care, where your funds are going in any other bank? Thought not. All that counts is that you have £85K FSCS protection.

Still not here...I guess technically, they've got until close of business Monday, but just be aware that weekends are not "faster" payments!!

    Well not for me, anyway.

My money's in limbo...as they've deducted it from my balance.
I have an inkling they effectively shut for the weekend. Please keep us informed how long it takes, and what dates Al Rayan and the receiving bank use.

EDIT: Just found this on the Al Rayan Help: "If we receive your request after 3:30pm on a working day, on a weekend or on a bank holiday, your request will be automatically processed and debited from your account. The funds will then be routed to the recipient bank/building society by 9:00am the following working day."

I used sort code 30-00-83 and account number that I got it from opening confirmation page togethr with reference number.

I have tried it with £1 transaction, it did arrive. Today morning I did a FP with a few thousands pounds. It has not arrived until now, is it becuase of weekend or something else ??

I fear they won't credit it until the next working day

Many thanks for the detail you have given. It's much clearer now. I'll give sort code 30-00-83 a go with a test payment :D

And a big thanks to colsten as always for your trusted input :T

I don't have a reference number; possibly because my application seemed to fail after screen 4 of 5.

I've just tried that too. I suspect the reference number is needed with the 30-00-00 sort code only.

Luckily, I was just topping up our Santander ready for DD's on the first, so shouldn't be a problem.

Could be an issue if the first was a Monday, so something to be aware of in the future. I'd have had to do an emergency raid on TSB!!!;)
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)
