Which new phone do I get?

I’m planning to buy a new, sim free phone. Problem is, which one?

Samsung = great reviews. I can just swap my current SIM card over, so no moving over contacts. Good camera (one of my main reasons for upgrading phone).

iPhone = good security. Apparently can’t be un-locked so less attractive to steal. Presumably would be easier to transfer photos to the iPad.

Any advice guys?

    And your budget is?
Contacts are not held on the SIM, unless you have a very old pre-smartphone. They are in your Google or Apple account in the cloud and are simply downloaded to the new phone. Transfer of data from Android to Apple devices and vice versa is pretty much seamless these days.
Most SIM cards are now 3 in 1, so to go down to a nano, you just snap it out.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Not necessary. I have an iPad and an Android phone and I can use them together with no problems at all.

OP, there are many other makes other than the overpriced Samsungs and Apples. It would be more MSE to widen your search somewhat.

I would mostly agree with this however the Samsung a20e @169 quid looks quite nice.

You can save money buying a refurb phone, try Amazon Warehouse and you may be able to find you can save money money compared to a new phone.

OnePlus phones are great, 7 is the most recent model, 6 might be worth a look.
Huawei phones are great, Ive got a Honor View 20.
    Xiaomi phones are also great.

Xiaomi = good value for money

    Google Pixel = good support

    iphone = rip off

Most important question, what is your existing phone and what is your budget?

The iPhone isn’t a rip off if you want iOS. Where else do you get iOS?
