Which new phone do I get?

I’m planning to buy a new, sim free phone. Problem is, which one?
Samsung = great reviews. I can just swap my current SIM card over, so no moving over contacts. Good camera (one of my main reasons for upgrading phone).
iPhone = good security. Apparently can’t be un-locked so less attractive to steal. Presumably would be easier to transfer photos to the iPad.
Any advice guys?

And your budget is?
Contacts are not held on the SIM, unless you have a very old pre-smartphone. They are in your Google or Apple account in the cloud and are simply downloaded to the new phone. Transfer of data from Android to Apple devices and vice versa is pretty much seamless these days.
Most SIM cards are now 3 in 1, so to go down to a nano, you just snap it out.No free lunch, and no free laptop

OP, there are many other makes other than the overpriced Samsungs and Apples. It would be more MSE to widen your search somewhat.Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. Have been converted to the "budget to zero" concept and use YNAB for all monthly budgeting and long term goals.0 -

OnePlus phones are great, 7 is the most recent model, 6 might be worth a look.
