Hi,
A CCJ has been placed under my name which i noticed and didnt know about. The CCJ shows up on only Transunion, it doesnt show on Experian, Equifax or Crediva.
Now i checked the address and it had a totally different address to where i live and the address was wrong and never lived there before or know anyone living there.
Its to do with parking fines totalling to £700. if i knew about this and i had received a letter i would of payed all of this off. My car is registered to my own address and logbook is registered to me.
My question is, can i get this removed if i get a set aside judgement & would this be a good enough reason for the judge to accept ? i had no acknowledgment
The actual fine/invoices came to my address but i had no court letter or anything apart from invoices.
I called the county court business centre and they also had a wrong address and have sent me a form for the set aside judgement. Along with the law firm who had wrong address on claim.
i
Any help would be appreciated
thank you :j

Parking fine companies get your address from the DVLA that the vehicle is registered to.
So it must have been registered to that address at some point?
CCJ's also appear on all 3 of your credit reports, not just the one.0 -
The car has only ever been registered to 3 addresses. The address showing for CCJ is completely wrong.
Also the CCJ has been on there since 20/05/19 & it only shows up on transunion and none of the others0 -
I would contact TransUnion to dispute it being on there then.0

The thing is, i dont understand how they have got a different address. The address on the CCJ is like a street away from me as well. So i didn't receive any court letters, i only found out by looking at my credit report and then i went to checkmyfile and it showed up on there, only with Transunion. IV been at this address since April 2018, CCJ is from May 2018. Does anyone know if this would get removed if i pay the £255 to start from scratch ?0

Does that mean that the driver did park where they claim? It sounds to me like a FUBAR by the PPC or solicitor. Do not expect John Lewis efficiency from ex-clampers and their down market dirty shirts.
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking CompaniesYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Can anyone shed some light or had any past experience ? or whats the process to follow0

Do a full Subject Access Request to Transunion , the company that took you to court and the DVLA.
That should help sort out, who you are going to sue for compo, if someone got your address completely wrong, resulting in the CCJPrivate Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA0 -
Check the official register for ccjs before you go doing anything https://www.trustonline.org.uk/
If only one agency has it then it could be an error on their part.0 -
The case number does show as an active CCJ dated 20/05/2019. Do i have to pay to check for the CCJ?0
