Multiple ParkingEye tickets at Tennis Centre

Hi
Firstly, I promise I have read the sticky for Newbies advice but I couldn't see an obvious answer to my question, so apologies if I missed it.
I've managed to get 2 parking tickets from ParkingEye within a week at the Lee Valley Tennis Centre in London. I didn't notice any of the signs or realise that you can just get free parking as a customer there if you register at a machine in the centre. Not so bright on my part!
I have spoken to the centre and they have provided a letter of reference to say that I was a customer at the centre at the time of the first offence (the second has only just come through). They also advised that this should result in the fine being cancelled but they cannot guarantee.
I just wanted to get anyone's thoughts on how I approach this i.e. do I just appeal admitting I was the driver but providing the letter of reference to state that I was a paying customer at the centre? Or do I send the standard response from the sticky on this forum to not admit liabilty and then use that as support at the appeal stage if rejected?
I'm also unsure whether the fact that I've been done twice will go against me. Logic would say it makes no difference as I didn't receive the first fine until after I had already visited for the second time, but I'm not sure they will see it that way.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking CompaniesYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Use the initial appeal template from the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1 and add a final paragraph which states that the registered keeper was a genuine use of the facility, and here's the proof.
No 'I parked', 'I didn't realise I had to register at reception' guff - nothing that identifies the driver. Appeal each one separately.
Out of interest, which may possibly help you:
Date of each parking incident.
Date of Issue on each of the NtKs.
Does the reverse page of each of your Notices to Keeper (NtKs) contain a paragraph about the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012, which commences 'You are notified under paragraph 9(2)(b) of Schedule 4 ..... '. And a further paragraph which commences 'You are warned that if, after 29 days from the date given ....'?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
