Hi everyone. A day or so prior to the PPT deadline I submitted "I think I am owed a PPI payment please check" type template to providers LTSB, BlackHorse, HSBC, IF, HBOS and Creation Finance. I used the Resolver service to do this.

So far I have not had any responses from the providers, only from Resolver to remind me I have not had any responses and to approach the providers again.

how long should it take to get a first response from the actual provider? I am guessing around a month giving it was the day before PPI deadline and things being very busy.

thanks in advance

  • Ask the lenders if they received your complaint.

It's more than likely that Resolver didn't send them on correctly, in which case you're out of time.

Resolver adds a layer to the process. So, it is slower than going to the lenders directly. Plus, there was a massive influx of last minute complaints. So, lenders are behind.

Hopefully, Resolver did send the requests.

Anything you receive from Resolver is automated I'm afraid. You'll also receive a similar automatic "reminder" that you can escalate your complaint after eight weeks, that is unlikely to be the case if nothing has been received by the lenders.

    Yes, I'm afraid I agree.

This earlier thread gives much less cause for optimism:

  • thanks both for your feedback. I actually contacted the providers directly as well using the PPI claim templates on their websites. but when you complete them and hit send you don't get any acknowledgement or case number or follow up route. but agree, having left it last minute it will be a waiting game.
