Hi there,
I put in about a dozen PPI complaints using Martin Lewis's amazing templates. I didn't receive any responses. I wrote back to them with a further email after the closing date had passed.
I was under the impression that the initial complaint meant that you were ok for after the deadline but Santander have just replied to my email saying the deadline has now passed and they will not be responding.
Is it the case that the initial letter was not enough before the deadline had passed? And is this the case for all banks? I'm sure I read somewhere that most banks had said they would still consider initial complaints that arrived before the August deadline.
Thanks!!

How did you send the amazing templates? Directly or via Resolver? Id directly, by what means?
It wounds as if they didn't get there in time.0 -
I sent them all via Resolver and had two emails to say they had been received. So I'm confident they all arrived.0

Send the email saying they were received back to them.
Resolver though is notoriously glitchy.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

Sounds as if only two arrived.0 -
I assumed they just didn't bother clarifying receipt. Did you receive a response to all those you contacted? Thanks for your help!0

Did that include Santander?
Resolver does have a failure rate and you shouldnt rely on it.0 -
I've just gone through my emails and have ten emails from Resolver saying my complaint was successfully submitted...0

How many emails from the companies involved?0 -
Forget Resolver acknowledging, that just means the software has got it. Each provider will write to you upon receipt of the complaint acknowledging they have got the complaint and explaining the process and timescales. You usually get those within days to a week.0

Oh well, I only had one company - Barclays - say they had received it. Guess it's time to move on then and assume they didn't get there. Shame. I assumed the email clarification x 10 would have been reliable. Live and learn.0
