Has anybody had any dealings with parking fines ltd? They offer to fight your case for £18 and in the event of a court case charge an additional £22. If they lose then full refund. Is this a scam or should I send them a copy of the front of the letter before claim as they request? Thanks

Why not do it yourself? Check out reviews on Trustpilot.0 -
It is my wife’s pcn and work and children commitments will make it very difficult to fit in the full research and form filling out. For that money is it worth the stress and time?0

As with anything in life you have two choices.
Pay a company to do it , or do it for free via here . Horses for courses.0 -
So would you trust the firm? I’m always cautious about sending information with address etc on it.0

You can do it here with our help and there are no forms to fill in.
That company do not offer a full refund re court claims, AFAIK, only if they lose an appeal. I am nothing to do with that company but do know who runs it.
Generally on this forum we warn people to steer well clear of paying because there are some truly horrendous firms out there including people who are worse than parking firms in their aggression and greed (believe me, I know and I simply give you fair warning).
No links to such firms please. Newbies might follow links to dodgy firms, albeit I pass no comment either way on that one.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I think the address thing is a red herring. How would you deal with any business without them knowing your address?
Its more a question of whether you can do the same work as good as any company like this for free. If you can do it yourself (via here) then use the sticky guides, or if not use them. At the end of the day its your money and your choice.0 -
Thanks for the replies. Coupon-mad, I have a thread already about my wife's letter before claim situation but from reading the newbies threads and forum member's advice on how to fight it, she isn't in a position to commit the time for research and court attendance/defence nor is she confident. My worry was as you mention, that the £18 then £22 escalate. I guess her options are to try them (when you say you know who runs it is that a good or bad thing?) or pay up the £160 and be stress and worry free, grit our teeth praying for karma and use it as a lesson learned0

All I will say is I know who runs it and they are not the aggressive company.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
