Anybody using these brands?
Hi Folks
Currently have a Samsung J3 2016 variant. It will come to the end of lifespan in probably 6-8 months. (Updates are slowly killing it although within a few days of getting I turned of notifications for most things). I'm a low user so don't need a top notch spec.
Anyway I've been looking at getting a new handset (Sim free) and Amazon has loads for less than £100. All are brands that are new to me. e.g Doogee, Cubot, Ulefone, Blackview.
I've read lots of reviews, mostly positive. So have any readers got one and is it any good?
Look forward to any replies

I’ve seen some shocking quality control (or a lack thereof) on Doogee phones and Cubot has been caught hiding malware in the system files, for example https://techweez.com/2017/09/19/cubot-malware/
Be aware as well, all the Chinese brands pay for good reviews, either by discounts or free stuff so I wouldn’t place all your trust in reviews.====0 -

Got my son the MI A2 (about £140) and its a great phone.
This is the budget phone for them but reviews are good

I’d agree, Xiaomi is a big step up from the makes in the OP.
Three were selling the Xiaomi 6A for £69 (+£10 top up if you aren’t a Three PAYG customer) recently.====0
