Writing to remove my defaults...?

Well first of all as you two seem to be experts on credit file information.
Can you explain how he passed a credit check for a mobile phone by lying about his date of birth which is verified by all credit agencies? How is this possibble?
Absolutely, he didn't have a credit file at that point. The same as it would have been if he was 18.Secondly - if you read my post i said he can easily try and get the defaults removed. Grounds of removal i have just explained in my previous posts
I am talking from experience. IVe had two defaults removed but two of them not removed. So its unlikely he will get all 8 removed but i would assume between 2 and 4 is definitely achievable
You just don't get it do you? He committed a crime to get his phone contract. Raising the issue may well bring this to light. That's not a good thing.0 -
Right - So he had no credit file and magically got a monthly contract with EE. They gave one without even verifying his details let alone checking his credit. I can 100% confirm that EE are the hardest network to get a mobile contract on due to their credit checks. So let alone any mobile company doing this, EE would most certainly not.
As for your second point - I think its you who do not get it. For the time being he can ignore EE as no-one knows the story there. He can focus on removing his defaults from the other 7 companies. They will not interfere or make any difference to what is going on with EE, that is seperate. Each default removal process is seperate and has no bearing on another, whether he lied or not0 -
You haven’t given any examples for removal other than the usual BS you spout about loopholes and such.
And just because you, Tiny Tim and Joe Bloggs round the corner had defaults (supposedly) removed doesn’t mean it applies to everyone else.0 -
the same legal advice and loopholes applies to everyone. Just google removing a default and follow the templates given. That is what i did. That is one method doing through the legal way.
The other method is through a goodwill gesture and you can try your luck there and explain why you need it removed and you maybe had personal circumstances etc0 -
Or you could learn from your mistakes and deal with it like everyone else has to.
I don’t know why you think everything should have a get-out-of-jail-free card.
If you can’t do the time...0 -
Great advice! Basically saying to everyone dont try and remove the default even though are are legally allowed too
Just let it sit on your file and wait six years!
Fantastic!0 -
They’re not legally allowed to do anything.
A contract of payment was broken and the consequences of such contract breach have been applied to ones credit files.
If it was the case that every default would be removed then what would be the point in adding them.
Why do they always come out at night.....0 -

Why don't you get this? At some point you go from having no credit file to having one.
That is generally when you apply for credit after turning 18.
If you lie about this you create a fake credit file. There is no database that the CRAs refer to before they create a file for you.0
