    Evening all :D

Klew, what about scrambled mess? put chopped mushrooms, bacon, baked beans, cherry toms in a dish pur some beaten egg over it , ping for 3-4 mins?
Fruit and yog, boiled eggs, crab sticks, chicken leg, makes some soup so you only have to warm it, cook a JP the night before then just have to warm for a few mins and put topping on
Hope some of these help x

    :money:
Thanks for the tips, i was planning on having omelette today but i might try the scrambled mess as i have most of the ingredients - next weeks shopping list includes soup ingredients - i just have to decide which i am making and buy tubs to store it in the fridge! :)

On the rare occasions I make soup I store it in a plastic milk bottle. Saves space as well.

I need to make soup more often especially now as it's gone much colder.

    Morning all.
I've not weighed in for 2 weeks.
I'll pluck up the courage on Friday.
curl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!

Probably won't be as bad as you think Curl girl, it very rarely is.

Doing OK with just a few Syns each day but definitely feeling fat! I'm within syns but wonder because virtually all my syns have gone on wine and gin whether that's made the difference to how I feel.

    Today's plan:

    B - 40g porridge oats (HEB), strawberries S; grapes F
L - LO HM doner kebab meat (S&P); fried up LO potatoes F; mushrooms S; pickles S
D - HM chicken curry using up the legs from the weekend chicken P & S; rice F; spinach S. Will have the last of the strawberries S with some quark P and a mini meringue 1

HEA - milk in tea plus a little in porridge - made mostly with water
    HEB - porridge oats
Syns - mini meringue 1; nothing else planned.

Does anyone recommend any soup recipes that are sw friendly and nice? I like a blitzed smooth soup rather than chunky

Leek and potato; mixed veg; cauliflower and blue cheese - using Laughing Cow Light blue cheese triangles.

Basically you can use any soup recipe and make it fit into SW.

If you have access to the website there are loads of soup recipes.

Alternatively have a look at Pinch of Nom and Slimmingeats - both these blogs are written by people who do or have done SW. I prefer the Slimmingeats one but PON also has some good recipes, also have a book out which you might like, although you need to work out syns yourself. They have another coming out just before Christmas which is available to pre-order at the moment.

I think they may be from a taco mix so some seem to have syns depending on brand.:)
Thanks joedenise. Noted about the parsnips. They were nice though.
Have you tried roasting chunks of butternut squash? They have a similar sweet taste to parsnips and they're Speed. :)

I didn't post yesterday as I woke up feeling queasy and didn't have much of an appetite so no menu worth posting. I went through most of the day on just cups of tea. :( Feeling a bit better today but not hugely hungry.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit (free squash), HEB Weetabix with HEA milk, half banana (F)
L: cold chicken (P) with fried potato (F) veg and pickles (S)
D: baked salmon (P) with SW chips (F) cauli steak, tomatoes and broccoli (S)
    Syns: None

    Afternoon everyone.

Just a quick one with today's menu

B Boiled eggs (P) crispbreads (HEB) spread (1)
L Fruit (S and F) yoghurt (Flavoured, but I think it's syn free - count it as 1 just in case)
D Keema matar curry - I've just made this and it smells lovely! for DD and I tonight. Lamb mince (20% fat and high in syns, dry fried and fat poured away to reduce it a little), Tomatoes, onion (S) garlic, Pataks curry paste (1 for my share) peas (F), served with rice (F) and salad (S) mint yoghurt (F)

    Have a good day.

esmy I think all flavoured yoghurts are syns now - only 0.5 or 1 each so not too bad. Lamb mince is 4.5 syns per 100g.

Have just made scotch eggs ready for lunch tomorrow at the hospital. Also have some smoked salmon and crab sticks in the fridge so will make a sandwich with the salmon and chuck a few sticks into my box to snack on.
