What convinced you to move into your current home?

Well I got a new job and found a place which was a 5 minute walk from the place where I work.

Landlord gave our previous rental to her daughter. We had to find somewhere local asap that would take us and the cats our previous landlord has allowed us to get - they wanted a 'long term tenant' and we assumed we would be there until we bought a house. We got 100% of our deposit back though, the house was spotless when we left.

We got pretty lucky, its a lovely, much bigger house than our previous one. Have heard bad reviews about the estate agent - not exactly excited about discussing my deposit.

For those replying, Jack starts many threads like this. Not sure he ever returns to them either.

Our current home was a compulsive purchase.

Saw the new development on the way home from the boat. Called in to have a nosey, found a house that suited us down to the ground at a very reasonable price, reserved it there and then, panicked a bit as we had no mortgage sorted out and our old house wasn't even ready to part exchange, had a very busy week tarting up the old house, getting it valued and sorting out a mortgage, spent two weeks having a massive dejunk and clear out and then moved in just under four weeks after first seeing the house.

It was a bit of a whirlwind experience but we are so glad we did it and we have not regretted it in the slightest.

What made us pick this house? Well the layout, the location and the great price.
