You should get yourself unlinked from the other person.... Its not hard to do put a correction on your credit file...... and then be very carefull not to have join..... anything!

    Hi Zebedee,

It's not quite as simple as that; a correction is an explanation of a set of circumstances that can't be explained by the CRA's usual coding; you can't explain away a link with another person through a "Notice of Correction".

The only way you can break a link with another person is if you're no longer living with them, or associated with them; that is not the case with someone like Bh who has a partner with debt problems.

The assumption is that one partner's debt may affect the other's ability to pay, and therefore the linking of partners is very difficult to break and requires a high definition of proof; so I'm reliably informed.

My OH was discharged in 2006, and there is absolutely no way in any shape or form on this unholy earth that I would be associated with him financially.

What they don't tell you is that even after discharge, these slimy little companies still sell the BCy debts on, and update CRFs with defaults. And continue to threat threat threat. Even when told they still just sell it on to somebody else.

Have a look on this site; http://www.debtquestions.co.uk/debt_forum/

Do NOT have ANY financial involvment or formal links with your husband whatsoever.

    Hi ts,

Sorry you are still having problems. Have you tried to do the clean up of credit files as per my earlier post? Have you reported these low lifes to the relevent authrities(sp?) They are not allowed to do this to you.
