Dump radiator

Options
Hi
My dump radiator is right at front door in hall. I feel it is wasting heat. Would prefer to have the dump radiator on in a room where I can dry clothes and jackets and that gets uses all the time. Have combi boiler about 12 years old. Can I use pliers and switch off this radiator and leave another one on? Could remove the thermostat knobs on the more suitable one if necessary.
Many thanks for input.

You could close of lock shield valve with pliers which would prevent radiator heating, and ensure another radiator thermostatic valve e.g. bathroom is opened full.
I would suggest fitting TRV to hall radiator to allow it to control to required temperature. If room thermostat is in the hall, this would affect control of boiler as thermostat will not reach temperature due to radiator switching off, so may be required to relocate thermostat to more appropriate location.
