Hello
I have looked for the NEWBIES thread but cannot find the correct one
We received a parking charge for a comunity center where we parked for about 26 mins
My grandson who has a range of issues including OCD ODD Turetts and on the utism spectrum saw the park and wanted to go in, it is by the side of a river.
We parked there and can honestly say we didnt see any notices just some flimsy pieces of paper covered in laminate dangling from a few fences.

I have been in touch with some in the local community and there have been so many complaints that this has been done all of a sudden
our penalty charge was for 19/08/2019 as were a lot of others.
I did today go in and see the manager and we had to register our registration nymber and she suggested an appeal stating that they have been up since mid July. and we did notice really big signs up now. A lot have appealed but I have never heard of this company before
Does anyone know anything about them their registered address is Uxbridge Middlesex

Thank you
Thanks to all who post comps :)

It's on the front page of the forum right by where you clicked in the New Thread button, third post down and looks like this: -

It is nor a penalty charge, it is an invoice from a private company. It only needs to be paid if a judge orders suchly.

    UKPC are fraudsters, read this

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/11858473/Parking-firm-UKPC-admits-faking-tickets-to-fine-drivers.html

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

    http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2019/8/contents/enacted

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Everything you need is in the newbies thread which you haven't taken in properly as there is a first appeal already written for you.

You do not have a "penaltly charge"

UKPC are scammers that are well known on here, and have been banned twice by the DVLA for dodgy practices.

Their registered address is not Uxbridge that's a newsagent postal drop to fool you, their registered address is in Coventry which is also a postal drop to fool you, are you getting the picture?
