No both on different applications both made by the same mortgage adviser0

The alteration of the documents by the gentleman in order to falsify your chances of getting a mortgage is a criminal offence by him
you should report it and get a crime number and then write to the bank who put the marker explaining that a crime has been committed in your name and this is the crime reference and requiring them to remove the marker0 -
My understanding is that, unlike CIFAS, banks don't 'put markers on' as such with National Hunter, but simply forward data supplied during product applications. If/when NH spot inconsistencies between applications then they (NH) will flag this as suspicious and make the discrepancy visible to any institution contacting them....you should report it and get a crime number and then write to the bank who put the marker explaining that a crime has been committed in your name and this is the crime reference and requiring them to remove the marker
In other words, if OP approaches the first bank asking them to remove a marker they'll probably turn round and say (accurately) 'we didn't put any marker on'!0 -
