Hello and welcome everybody :hello:
This is the 145th month of this challenge, which was first started by Batgirl, in September 2007. Here is a link to the original thread as I am sure some of you are interested to read where it all began.
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/542835/make-10-a-day-extra-every-day-in-sept-challenge
Thanks to Batgirl for starting it and for everyone who has kept it going for more than 11 years! I would especially like to thank Aesop who ran the thread for the last few years.
The original purpose of this challenge was to help people to try and make an extra £10 a day on top of their normal income to help things along. Ie paying off debt, making savings, paying for holidays, overpaying mortgages etc.
That is exactly what this challenge is about, attempting to make extra income on top of your normal income to help you wherever you need it.
People start the challenge by setting a goal of £1 a day. Then when they find they are smashing this regularly, they up it to £5 a day. Some of us gluttons for punishment go for £10 a day. It really is entirely up to you. We only ask you to post what your goal is to help you keep motivated. Some days you make more and some days you make less, but aim for extra at the end of the month.
What cannot be added:
Wages from your main job
What can be added:
Overtime
Income from a second job
Daily clicks
Interest
Vouchers
Mystery shopping
Survey income
Profit from selling on eBay etc
Cashback
And lots of other ways too. Check out the boost your income guide on this website for lots of ideas.
The idea is that everyone posts how they are making extra money and these shared ideas help all of us to learn new ways to help cut debt or earn/save money.
This board can move pretty quickly, so be sure to subscribe and read it regularly.
So who wants to join us?

me too, I will try too. it helps keep you motivated and someone may have some insights in to new money making or even just things like instagc.
I will post more about this later. off to finish high school shopping for my son.. My bad, was supposed to leave at 9am!0 -
Long-time lurker, about time I made an effort and joined in:o. Hopefully the accountability of checking in with updates and the example of other people will give me some much-needed motivation.
This is going to be a manic and spendy month for me so money making opportunities will be limited:(. I can make a bit of a start though so I'm already in the groove ready for October's challenge:).
Can I put myself down for £100 for my first month please? It isn't much and only works out at £3.33 a day which still might be impossible but I'll give it a go.
Good luck, all:beer:0 -

Any amount is a good start. It is all extra money, you didn't have
If you have a smartphone and access to receipts, or can "womble" some, have a go at a few of the receipt apps. Take a few minutes a day.0 -

Thank you:). Yes, I do a few money making things on my phone but your list of apps the other day on the August thread showed me what a lot of opportunities I'm missing out on. Will certainly try some of the receipt ones. I already do Shop&Scan.0 -

You can ask Kantar if there are openings on other panels, if you could be considered for them.
Eg consumer pulse, petrol one, sky, food on the go.0
