Yes, complain to the manager of the pub/restaurant. If they refuse to do anything do some google searching for the district manager or CEO. Perhaps mention you will be adding comments on tripadvisor/google reviews...........they can cancel- whatever they say.

Who even gets receipts from a pub never mind keeps them?

This approach worked for me- and is by far the most simple and quickest way to nip it in the bud.
