Inventory For Rental

I have a question regarding the check in and check out inventories. On both occasions, we had amendments to make to these, requested in writing, however the inventory clerk refused to update the reports, even though he provided written confirmation that there were errors. We did not sign these. Is this legal or can we file a complaint? There will be a dispute over cost deductions as the landlord wants to bill for everything noted even though there is no damage eg there is a single skirting board scuff mark noted throughout the property and he wants to bill for painting.

Just take LOADS of photos, High def, showing blemishes (when you leave photos again, low def, fewer blemishes) and write/email (yes WRITE! ) to landlord, copy agent, keep copy, listing the issues you have with inventories.
It's up to the deposit scheme what evidence if accepted or not: Not some tin-pot inventory trainee on a very low fee (ask landlord/agent how much they are paid ... any answer, even a refusal, will be helpful..)0 -
Make sure you keep an audit trail as above, not emails or texts, but proof of posting"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

so you have written evidence to present in the event of a dispute over your deposit.

Is the inventory clerk a member of the AIIC? If yes, use their complaints process though given the above I don't really see thepoint.
