    Now, Zed, I'm afraid I will have to SLIGHTLY disagree with you on your previous comment (ok, sorry to get all heavy on you all BUT) a few moments spent on yourself can help make you a BETTER Mom because you are teaching children the value of self-worth. This does not mean that would suggest being selfish is the way to go but a valuable lesson can be learned from a parent that takes time out for themselves.

    i never used to go out the house without makeup on but since i had my son i think ive wore it maybe 20 or so times ....i dont even have an excuse anymore but somehow the act of putting make up on just doesnt appeal to me anymore

    Didn't say spend no time on yourself, but just be aware that there's a balance and a trade-off between them. As is usual, the there is no determinable "right" answer, just that it doesn't lie at the extremes (spending no time on your kids/spending no time on yourself), but somewhere in the middle.
