Advice please as to if it worth an appeal .
New car , permit for old car expired 2016 but as with all the vehicles in the car park this is the only permit none have new expiry date , and not all pertain to the vehicle ,
unfortunately the permit was left in the old vehicle, advice sought from parking shop who said it would be ok for a day . PCN on car at end of day.
The frustrstion is that the PCN states must be a valid permit , is an expired permit still valid ?
The charges for parking are taken at source and the invoice is huge compared to the breakdown of daily charge .
Is this worth an appeal .
The staff in the parking shop advised that even new permit still have a 2016 expiry date .

Please read the sticky thread for NEWBIES and then send the appeal template in blue text you will find there.
If there was a windscreen ticket then appeal around day 26.
Get pics of the site and signage ready for a second stage appeal.
What happened when you complained to your employer?
Get your union rep involved if you have one.
What does your parking contract say about being charged?
Complain to your MP about this unregulated scam.
Do not reveal the driver's identity either on here or to the scammers.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks1 -
Have you read this?

Are they compliant?
I would say that, from what you have told us, if this got to court the PPC would crash and burn, so contest it all the way, get your MP on board as nine times out of ten these tickets are scams.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Who is the PPC?
Throw all reason and fairness out of the window you are dealing with scammers that don't care.
Have you been back and complained to the "parking shop" that told you it would be ok and told them to get this cancelled?
Read the newbies thread for more about these scams and how to defend/appeal/complain0 -
Name the hospital involved

PPC is Saba formerly Indigo . Am I allowed to name the Hospital ?

Am I allowed to name the Hospital ?
Yes, just do not name the driver. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Of course you can name the hospital. The hospital can cancel the invoice if they want.
Imagine if the local MP got a ticket, do really think the Trust wouldn't cancel the ticketPrivate Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA1 -
This happened at The Lister hospital in Stevenage Hertfordshire . The staff in the parking shop said there was nothing they could do .
I have known other staff contact the CE and he hasn't replied to any e mails or letters .
Consultants have had some of their tickets cancelled , so it may be a case of the higher up the ranks you are ......
Staff I spoke to said they all have expired permits , even when they have new cars the permits still have the old number plates on , they have been told to "just write the new one on " Apparently they were going to start number plate recognition in 2016 but that didn't happen .
Will go down the Union and HR route plus MP union and appeal .
Question if the signage states "valid permit " can an expired permit ever be valid ( apparently all our info is held on the permit number ) thanks all0 -
read this and use it in your complaints

the contract betwee you and the hospital should use correct in date paperwork and permits, plus that HR FACILITIES should be able to get it cancelled , the NHS guidelines are clear, so why are your trust ignoring the words of the Health Secretary ? (when it was Hunt)1 -
