If you didn't (as now seems likely) have any PPI there will be no question of "validity"; you'll receive nothing.

Noting ventured nothing gained. Positive mindset my friend I think this forum can be far too negative and pessimistic . I’m an optimist and it’s certainly helped me in life.

The latest from the Banks is that well over 50% of PPI "complaints" are from people who didn't have the insurance. The final figure is doubtless set to soar in the coming weeks as more opportunists seek to somehow take advantage of the seeming "free for all".

This is simply being realistic, nothing to do with negativity and pessimism.

Even if you had PPI there is no guarantee it will be refunded to you.

I see your point, but again it goes back to “nothing ventured nothing gained”. I’ve learnt so how much over the last few months and if I don’t get anything, who cares?! I’ve tried, learnt new things, end of story. Certainly won’t be losing any sleep over it.
