    Same as Badger09 & Pollypenny, but we have the N/W FlexPlus worldwide policy at £13pm.

    Non life threatening health issues which have been included free for some years previously are incurring charges now under the Nationwide policy changes. £99.40 on top of the £156, then the £65 age cost as well. Total for 2019-2020 will be £320.40

    Oddly, the emergency minor operation I had in Jamaica earlier this year (did cost total of US$15,000) didn't seem to be the main culprit behind the cost hike according to the operative.

    Renewals after 1 Nov will not be able to select the £4.50pa to exclude a policy excess either.

    Anyway, Badger09's research on prices is very helpful. Thanks.

    DITTO re our Dengue Fever claims last year, including a week's hospital stay & dozens of scans/tests:cool:

    I still think (know) its good value.

    It's a pity that Nationwide doesn't allow us to exclude winter sports cover. That must be a costly aspect which the rest of us subsidise.

    Then you'd have to resign from the SKI-ers club:p

    We also have Nationwide flex plus (Worldwide including USA), fortunately with no health issues and pay the extra £65 age cover. Did a price comparison quote online and it was more than trebled at £765 for annual cover. So will definitely stick with Nationwide and will probably add their Cruise Cover Add on providing the price is right.

    Just as an 'add-on' to the need for good travel insurance. We had a couple of credit cards, with a reasonable limit & 2 debit cards - all in case of emergencies.

    Well, I had one! THAT was when I learnt the importance of ensuring they are "fee free non sterling transactions" ones. Lucky for us Barclaycard waived the fee because it was several hundred pounds. Lesson learnt & we now have a Halifax Clarity c/c with a large'ish limit, 'just in case' abroad!

    We're renewing with N/W as well, it is still cheaper - though I do hope not to have to struggle through their claims process ever again.
    Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

    Hmmm, it's ironic that winter sports, classic broken leg holiday, is included but not cruises. :cool:

    :question::question::question:

    Cruises are definitely covered by our Travel Insurance policy linked to a long standing FlexAccount.

    Nationwide are changing the wording on policies from 1/11/19.

    Up to 31/10/19 Cruises are covered, though for some reason, listed under land based activities:cool:

    From 1/11/19 Cruises are mentioned under Important Information on page 7, and then listed under water based activities, which seems more logical to me. Optional Upgraded Cruise cover is available, but we've never taken that.
