been using most of this year and very good. Only issue I've had is where one item (of about 15) is out of stock, unless you respond the same day to their email telling you so, and giving you the option to send the rest of the items whilst waiting, they appear to think it's ok to then delay the rest for weeks. I had one month where every day I had an email telling me x is out of stock until tomorrow (but tomorrow kept moving a day forward!). I've resorted to sending an email after 2 days to make sure I get he rest of it on time.
It does take about a week from ordering to receiving the items, but that's ok so long as you order in time. ordering is a very simple online process0 -
But what happens at your annual drugs review ?
Do they ignore it and send you your monthly drugs anyway ?
or do they wait until your GP gives them the nod ?0 -
it's just like an ordinary pharmacy, you request your prescription via their online system, they send the request electronically to your GP, your GP processes the request and replies with a prescription. If you're over due a review the GP can either not issue a prescription (in which case you'd find out via the pharmacy) ,contact you, or issue the prescription with a message that you need a review before the next one is issued0

I just wondered if anyone is using any of the online prescription services for repeat prescriptions and if there have been any problems? I'm trying to set various things up online to try to cut back on the number of tasks I do for my son and wondered if getting regular medication this way works well for people?
Many thanks in advance x
I would ask your local pharmacy if they can deliver first - private companies like this take longer, hear to deal with if something doesn't come in a delivery as it comes via post and is taking money from the NHS into the pockets of shareholders!
I wouldn't touch a company like this with a barge pole no matter how much I needed the service!

Pharmacy2U say they are cheaper than Boots, Lloyds etc as far as charging for dispensing prescriptions is concerned. I expect Boots and Lloyds have shareholders! Our local Lloyds charges £33 a year for delivery.0 -

Lloyds chemist claim on their website, that home delivery is free (http://www.lloydspharmacy.com/en/info/prescription-delivery) - are you sure that you have not mistaken a chemist for Lloyds Bank ?
Or perhaps you are a Pharmacy2U shareholder ?0 -

I asked at the Lloyds pharmacy attached to our GP surgery just last year about delivery. I was told it was £33 a year. Perhaps that particular Lloyds just doesn't want to do it. We had always had our repeat prescriptions with them and I asked as they had made errors that meant it took three visits to get the prescription in it's entirety.
I'm sure you think you are amusing suggesting I have mistaken a pharmacy for a bank but your comments are quite insulting.0 -

Maybe you are mistaken then because ALL Lloyds pharmacies charge £0 to deliver prescriptions !!0 -
My neighbour has just asked me for Pharmacy2U details. She usually gets her prescriptions delivered by Boots but she tells me they are going to start charging her £55 a year.0

Thats appalling - I stopped using Boots, years ago - they kept cocking up my prescription
Use an independant chemist - they will deliver free as well !0
