I just wondered if anyone is using any of the online prescription services for repeat prescriptions and if there have been any problems? I'm trying to set various things up online to try to cut back on the number of tasks I do for my son and wondered if getting regular medication this way works well for people?
Many thanks in advance x

Used them for years for three people never once had a problem with them.0

Thank you both, I'm always very reassured by other people's personal experiences so that's really helpful - thanks for taking the time to reply0

I use it for myself and my daughter and never had any problems. I order them one day and they are ready for collection the following day.0

I use them. Excellent service delivered by Royal Mail. Only problem has ever been when they have to remind my GP surgery to issue the prescription.0

Thanks to both of you for that, it's reassuring to hear good things
I've had situations in the past where I've changed something to try to save time or money, it hasn't gone very well and it's ended up causing more work so I kept thinking about setting up to do it online and keep putting it off in case the service was poor
Will get on with sorting it out now, thank you

I was wondering how the annual drugs review would be affected by the way that you get hold of drugs ?
ie) I have an annual review in my birthday month and get blocked from otdering any more drugs on line until this is completed ...
What happens with drugs delivered by one of these companies
Also - they claim not to cost the NHS a penny - how do they achieve this - they are an independant business are they not ?0 -

I think they mean they don't cost more than a standard prescription being issued.
Prescriptions are big money. Even when contributing the NHS tops it up and profits can be huge, take out needing a physical pharmacy and a stock of over the counter gumf and they probably spend in couriers what a standard pharmacy spends in dressing a shop and paying high street rent.0 -

Not available in Scotland but if you're in the West Central belt there's a company in Rutherglen who do similar, they'll either drop it off by courier or post if you're outwith a certain postcode.0
