I've just switched to RBS for the £150 switching bonus but no mention of the bonus when I switched and I have had a look round for the switch terms and conditions (re the bonus) on the RBS website and I can't find anything that mentions a switching bonus. The only reference I can find to a bonus is on here and other money comparison websites. Can anyone help?
  • did mine last week, worked a treat!

Asked about the switch on facebook and the reply is that " yes, the offer is on but we are updating the website. Sorry for delay."

I got a text last week saying my bonus will be paid by 30th, so I am still waiting for it to come in.

You are confusing this 'new' offer with the previous one. It appears they are having problems with the 'new' one as pointed out two posts above and in my previous post on here.

I'm one of the "10%" and used my redundant Tesco account to switch today. No DD or minimum monthly pay in, just a one off £1500 credit and to log in to the app by a certain date, no brainer!
This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!

Looks like it's too late to apply for RBS offer. We must open account AND complete switch by 29th November 2019.

Although, if you just read the part below on the website:
Apply and open a new account or switch in to an existing account with us by the 29th November 2019.
you'd be forgiven for thinking that we only need to open account by 29th November 2019 then complete switch later.

However, not having a 'complete switch by' date, makes it somewhat obvious that the 29th November 2019 deadline serves both purposes.

THE MSe site could also be clearer on this. It just says:
The offer's also available from sister bank RBS, though you need to apply by 29 Nov for that.
Actually, it's not just APPLY, we need to APPLY then complete SWITCH by that date.

It seems to take advantage of the Natwest offer we need to apply today. Why? because under the switch guarantee any switch must be completed within 7 working days. Apply today and the 7th working day is 06 December 2019. So, if switch completes on the 05 December (which is the 6th working day), then you are in business.

If you had an RBS or Natwest offer since October 2017, you are not eligible for this offer - probably 90%+ of people who frequent this forum.

For those that have not yet taken advantage of any RBS group offer, it is certainly worth keeping in mind that you can take advantage of all 3 offers simultaneously (RBS/Natwest/Ulster Bank).

Just have a careful read of the terms of conditions of each and, in particular, note the eligibility cutoff dates for each. Often the 3 will run their promotion/offer windows at approximately the same times, with enough overlap that you can apply for all 3 on the same cycle whilst fully meeting the eligibility requirements. Three donor accounts would be required to do it this way, since you are not switching in sequence.

While they might change their systems over time and the above might not always remain the case... doing the above did work for me, when I did it.
