Seriously? The most important aspect is the ability to fast forward or advance a track? The one thing I think should be on the steering wheel which aren't on most cars are safety crucial things like demister buttons.
Read the post again. I said it was a deal breaker for me, not that I would have bought the car anyway. When I drive, I like to listen to music and not being able to skip the track forward would be a massive pain, especially if I spent a small fortune on the car.

If something is a deal breaker, then it is the most important aspect. basically if the car was perfect in every other way but you had to reach to the central console to fast forward a track, you would get a mechanically inferior car just because of a missing arrow on the steering wheel. Crazy, just crazy.

I had an E class before my Mazda, it was an easier reach to select the next track than to operate the demister functions. The arrow buttons are huge in a Merc. You don't need to look for them. The demister button on the other hand is much smaller and close to the passenger seat.

Don't get me started on touchscreens. Bloody useless invnetions. The CX5 has steering wheel fast forward and rewind buttons, and the boot is bigger than the Sportage. Note that the 7 year warranty is limited to 100k miles on the Sportage. Hyundai's have a 5 year but unlimited mileage warranty.

Thanks for the pointers on the CX5. In regards to your first point about a deal breaker being THE most important thing...Well, you can have multiple deal breakers. A Prius can drive like a dream have have the buttons on the steering wheel but I am not buying it because I don't like the look. For my daily driver, I need a car with 5 doors because there's no way I am going to put up with folding/moving seats back to enter the rear. If the seats were uncomfortable that would also be a deal break and so on.
