Fourex Issues

Had a problem with the Fourex machine at london bridge where it stole all my coins i had deposited and the customer service is non existent so cant seem to get my money back.

For those not in the know...fourex claims to be able to change unwanted foreign currency coins back to sterling or dollars or euros...and even claims to take obsolete coins and give credit for them.

The truth is less fantastical. I've since looked online and found many other users with similar experiences.

The coins went onto the hopper/roller device ok, rattled around for a while inside the machine. I thought it must have been the sorting mechanism and gave it a while to figure things out, but then...nothing happened.

I had put in about 2 euros (in low denomination euro cents) and unknown amount of old european and UK money and about 3 US dollars...all in coins.

I got credited with 1 euro and a few US cents. The rest didn't get rejected or credited...they just disappeared.

I tried to phone them and got an automated message saying that the support line wasnt working (about 5.30pm on a tuesday). The email option resulted in an automated reply saying that they would look into it....but mo timescale listed.

Meanwhile in down about £5, maybe more...and now doubt I'll see it again!

Would not recommend...go to your bank and see what they offer...or donate them to a charity.

But for now...does anyone have any idea how I might go about getting my money back from Fourex?
