You mentioned end panels for the wall units in post #7 but DIY-Kitchens units come in 15 colours which mean you don't need end panels.

It's high gloss so assume the end panels need to be in high gloss as well.

    Might be wrong

End panels are not just about the colour, they also frame the unit nicely. In my opinion wall units without end panels look unfinished even when in the same colour.

I assume you mean at the end of a run?

Not between wall units if they butt up to each other?

    Hi,

Just about to pull the trigger on a diykitchen.

Having trouble working out what size cooker hood.

I have a 40cm base and wall unit then 900 pan drawers with a 60cm hob. Then again 40cm base and wall unit.

The cooker hood we want is a chimney style with curved glass.

Do I get the 60cm one which leaves a 15cm between the edge of the glass and the wall unit. Or go for. 90cm so it's flush.

I would like a gap but they seem to come mostly in 60cm and 90cm.

    Any suggestions?

    Layout is here

Any suggestions about any of it are welcome.

The top right shows a base unit pull out but will that plus a half shelved larder on top. It doesn't show on the DIY planner.

    Thanks

Also the 600 Base and wall unit top left I would want to put either an end panel or filler piece in to move it out from the wall as it could restrict them opening.

    Good idea thanks.

This is the latest plan. The dimensions have changed slightly so i have had to reduce the sink unit from 900 to 800cm.

There is now a gap on the far left which may be wise to have to open the base unit as a washing machine is going in there.

So that has a decor panel? Does it need a filler panel as well?

Does the fitter just cut these from the panels in the order?

What size sink can that hold it is a 1.5 inset sink?

    Thanks

I take it its a freestanding washing machine?
I would put a decor panel on the left side with a filler between the decor panel and wall making the washing machine opening at least 600 wide (Check machine manual for opening guidelines).

"What size sink can that hold it is a 1.5 inset sink?" a 1.5 will fit in a 600 so anything bigger than that will be fine.

It was going to be integrated.

Am I restricting the sinks I can go for if I go for an 800 sink base rather than 900. To be honest I think its the size of the sink base that has to give as I like the 900 pan drawers under the hob.

we just want a 1.5 inset set.

    Thank you

In which case do as I said before and make the opening 600 for the W/M.
You can order an extra base end panel and filler piece which come 100mm wide and your fitter can cut it down to fit.
There will be no difference in which sink you can choose between 800 or 900 both will accommodate any sink.
