They won't cover anything over 10 years. The newest V40 is 15-years-old, so there would be no point in listing it.S40 was saloon, V40 was estate.
The original-shape S/V40 was launched in 1995, and replaced in 2004.
There's absolutely nothing unusual or impossible about a 2001 V40. Their systems are clearly a bit incompetent if they don't have such a mainstream model listed.0 -

There's also a current V40 model which is a 5 door hatchback. Volvo used the same name just to confuse people..0
