    A tracing agent should be able to assist, without necessarily costing too much.

    What method of payment did they use?

    And realistically, how much is the loss? It's going to be the difference between the standard of cleaning they paid for and the standard actually achieved, not a full refund.

    As annoying as it is what losses have been incurred by the group of students? Do they particularly want to go down the small claims route and the cost of doing so.

    I guess I am saying is it really worth the hassle?

    Thanks all. I will probably call a halt to this. Just finding it hard to swallow that nothing can realistically be done. Costs of court outweigh what was paid. Would be good to warn people of this kind of stunt.

    Money Claim Online fee would be no more than £35 in your case
    If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
