Trying to keep activities fairly quiet upto Oct half term as we are hopefully going to visit family so need money for our hotel and travels.2025 financial goals & challenges!

Happy Monday
Yesterday turned into being a productive day, daily cycling mileage achieved earlier in the day making life much more easier. Digging in the garden was nice and easy as soil was damp - we have the gardener here for a quote today. During the afternoon had some fun listening to tunes whilst getting in some extra tasks for paid job to be ahead today (hopefully).
Not expecting to spend anything today just working from home.
Hope everyone has a good day.2025 financial goals & challenges!

Feeling tired, 4am wake up too early, ugly. Kinda managed to get a bit of sleep but still, could do with more zzzzzz....
So today is last day for a while working part time, its full time from next week. Actually looking forward to it.
This morning I did the bulk of today's cycling challenge on the exercise bike while watching married at first sight... first time i'd discovered this program. Not my usual watch but this is perfect for what I need right now. Roll on episode 2.
With all the talk of gas price rises, had a little panic last night and duly checked my utilities bills online. Gas is an annoying prepay meter of which we have £32 on there and electricity is currently in a deal which ends next month so no big panics atm.2025 financial goals & challenges!

Happy Thursday,
Not quite sure if anyone reads my diary but I do enjoy writing a bit each day / couple of days to keep the momentum going. So this week is last week working part time as from Monday its back to full time work and a full time salary which I am excited about to be honest. This will give the finances a well needed boost, increase pension payment etc.
So today I am not working but had a driving lesson, the first one after an unplanned three week break. Lesson was good, we ventured to new area, increased speed etc oh and roundabouts.
At lunch me and OH had to do this weeks food shop. He paid so no complaints there yay! Think we spent just shy of £50. With an hour to use before heading to school to pick up the kids I've done a bit of surveying. It seems to be quiet on the survey front generally but every little helps.
Last night we visited family who are moving abroad soon and was gifted some unwanted booze and food. Kids were impressed - we got a chocolate cake! The booze will do towards our stash. We now have a lifetime supply of pimms and port :2025 financial goals & challenges!

I read your diary, so you are not alone.
I'm envious of your Pimms stash. When friends of ours moved abroad a few years ago we were gifted the contents of their drinks cabinet, including a lifetimes supply of white rum, which I am making efforts to reduce 😉Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Its quickly Friday again.
Fun day yesterday - both kids now having swimming lessons on the same day, oh boy makes life sooo much easier than going twice a week. Littlest did very well in his next stage up.
This morning we had a little treat and went for a fry up breakfast after school drop off, sooo worth it.
Having a fairly quiet day, just relaxing at home while the kids are at school. The main task of the day was booking hotel and train tickets for Oct half term - job done! Just need to make sure we don't miss the train
In money terms - the small crowdfund loan has ended this morning - so on to the next stage. Tempted to invest a bit more cash on another one but will see how the first one gets on.
