  • Monthly accounts review day and debt is now 64% paid off which feels really good. Still another whole 12 months of payments but debt free is on the horizon.

Savings have increased by a teeny weeny £370 and my pension has some growth too which is always welcomed.

My partner has officially retired from full time work and now joins me as a part timer! He's already dreading the "anti boredom" list :D

  • Week 2 - run 1 of c25k completed this morning. Was a bit harder than expected but glad to have completed.

Quite a quiet day today - was working for most of it and then took the kids swimming as we normally do on a weds.

Well done on the running. Stick with it. I could do 5k in 55 minutes in Nov. I'm now sitting at just below 35 minutes. You'll get to the point where you love the feeling afterwards and crave it. x

Well done both of you. Week one of C25K nearly killed me but I was so happy at the end. I need a knee replacement now and  really miss running.

It'll come @dawnybabes. Just make sure that you do the physio - it took about 4 months before my sister felt fixed.

    I’ve got the walking and strength - it’s the bend/swelling I’m struggling with 😢

@dawnybabes How come you had to have a new knee? My Mum says I'll need new ones if I keep running as I am.

Combination of weight and hypermobility 😭. All my family have bad knees young (I’m 54) but I’m the only one with private insurance so the NHS keeps fobbing my mum and sister off and giving them steroid injections that aren’t working and stronger painkillers ……. Grrrrrrr

I used to run in my teens (belonged to a club and competed middle distance and cross country) but stopped in my twenties. I did c25k a free years back. One of my knees flared up, kept swelling and it got to the point where it hurt to drive. I also discovered that I loath running now. Like actively hated it. So I stopped it. I do like walking though. Just need to carve out time for it. Takes longer than running!
