Nooooooo up waking up way too early! So now feeling really tired!

Its another beautiful morning outside and the veggie plot had a good water :)

Locked myself out of a bank account - grrr need to call them to reset. This is probably a sign to get back to bed.

On the positive no adverse reaction to jab, seem to be feeling ok and not even a twitch from arm. In a way I wish I'd had a reaction at least then I would be sure its doing something.

Today is no work day but I have an email I need to send and get myself my task list for next week so will spend some time on that this morning as I left a bit sudden yesterday to head to vaccination centre.

  • Hello Sunshine!

The kids made me smile this morning, I was relaxing in bed with a cuppa and they spontaneously say they want to make (American) pancakes for breakfast. I thought well why not and we had the time so up and out and we enjoyed them with syrup. Not the most healthy of breakfasts but hey ho!

Last night I did my sums and I have a lean £216.64 to live on (after bills & expenses) till 13th June before I start eating into my savings & rental income from investment property. This is going to be a challenge in itself but the gains are sooo worth it! So ladies this is my challenge - food, trips, travel etc. Wish me luck  :o

Hi Debt_Me_Out_Of_Here thanks for your comment - I actually completely forgot I hadn't included child benefit in the sums so I have a little more in the budget

Income is tight and outgoings are too high for my liking but I'm wearing my determined hat and its sooo worth it!

I forgot about child benefit this month too! Although hubby has had a pay rise and now we will owe some back if I can't make him increase his pension payments.

Lol on the the child benefit front - its funny that little bit extra really does make the difference between sink or swim sometimes. :)

I'm quickly realising that long term investments on the stock market is the way forward so yeah if you can get your hubby to put a bit extra into his pension this is a win win all round.

What a difference a day makes, yesterday was glorious sunshine and today its a damp squibb! These days are the pits in our house as the kids at home on a Saturday while OH is trying to get some zzzz after a night shift is not a welcomed mix. Mum plays referee!

I forgot to ring the bank yesterday - stupidly locked myself out of one of my accounts and need unlocking! Grrr so thats a job for first thing 9am. Kids have homework to do so we'll do that this morning and we are going to go out somewhere. Defo a day for wet weather gear.

Will you get one or two child benefits payments before the 13th June?

What are the plans for half term? Are they already budgeted for?

Good luck, it is tight but doable.
