It should be fine. Sometimes stuff breaks early into the warranty, and it's up to them to prove that it broke before you took the policy out and that you knew about it. Can't see how they will be able to do that.0

Hello I have a 2014 420i. I am 90% sure the timing chain is bust. Its making the characteristic noise when I rev the engine.
I believe that cars manufactured after March 2011 are not affected by the cam chain issue. Yours, being a 2014 car, should not be affected.
You may have something different going on.
Either way the warranty is in place. Let BMW look at it and they can make a decision as to whether they will cover it or not. If it has a full BMWSH then you should be able to expect an element of 'goodwill' in their decision making.0 -
what is the History of the car? did you buy it as a BMW approved used car and then take an extended warranty at the end of the approved used warranty0

Two weeks after buying the warranty it is making a noise that you think is the chain failing. If you try and claim on the warranty I suspect that BMW will reject on the basis it was an existing condition which it probably was, but has just got worse to the point of hearing it clearly.
How long have you had the car?0 -

For a start it wont be bust as engine would not run!
Could even be a simple tensioner to even jumping a tooth, either way not too expensive new tensioner and cam chain kit fitted for around £1k as gearbox needs separating and engine lifting, chains at back of engine.0
