I was in a similar position a few years back when I first moved to the UK and personally I agree with the posts above - there is no need to pay for a credit (re)building service since you can do everything by yourself for free and it isn't likely to significantly help demonstrate you can manage credit responsibly. Making sure you are enrolled on the ER is an absolute must. Following that, getting a sub-prime credit (re)building card is the way forward - there are plenty of lenders you can try. My first card was the LUMA card by Capital One in case that helps. Get one (making sure to use eligibility checkers before you apply to see what you're likely to get) and then make a few purchases every month and pay it off in full (set up a DD so you don't forget). After 6-12 months of doing this you should get limit increases and be eligible for better cards.
