T mobile hassle

I've had a T mobile contract for 8 years now,and am on a pretty good contract with them so all's well with that. The problem is that last year I had a Nokia 6111 with them which repeatedly broke and had to go back to the shop 4 times before I gave up on it and used my old phone with my sim in.In october at the start of my new contract I got a new Nokia 6300 which broke down after less than a week.I took it back to the shop(the staff know me well by now:rolleyes: ) and the lad said it was the sim card reader that was faulty.I had it mended and when I went to pick it up it was ok, and worked for about an hour then went off again.
Feeling really peed off I rang T mobile who eventually agreed to send me a new phone today, as an exchange for the faulty one. They said it would be delivered between 1pm and 6pm.I rang to make sure it was definitely being delivered today and they said yeah.I know it's only just gone 6pm but it hasn't arrived and i've waited in all day.
For all they know i don't have a phone right now and havent done since mid october.Does anyone think I have a case for cancelling my contract, given this shoddy treatment?:confused:

The phone and contract are separate.

    Is the phone 'Free'.

If you have been using the sim card, they will know that you have been using it.

I was using the sim in my daughter's old phone.Anyway the phone did turn up about 20 mins ago, and is working so fingers crossed:rolleyes: The courier did say she'd exchanged loads of this model, and that T mobile phones were reconditioned though:rolleyes:

  • Hi, Within the first 28 days, it is TMobiles policy and my policy to exchange faulty handsets for a brand new one.

After 28 days it is usually sent away for repair. Most faults, especially with Nokia's are software related, so I have invested in the facility to flash my customers phones myself which speeds up the whole process, but mechanical faults have to go through the return to Nokia service centre.

I always loan my customers a phone FOC, whilst thiers is away.

Was it one of TMobile's own shops or a dealer?

The one thing that drives me mad with TMobile, Three and Orange, is that we (dealers) have no option but to buy our stock from them and are unable to shop around for better deals, but when the phone goes faulty they don't want to know. Also if we have more than 4.5% of faulty handsets to return to them they charge us up to £50 per returned handset.
