"We've asked Capital One when the problems are expected to be fixed, and whether late payment fees will be waived for customers who were unable to log on to pay their bills. "
You can still make payments by Bank Transfer/Faster Payments as per your statement instructions.
That's not an excuse really...0 -
We were also a victim of this issue, but it snowballed into a nightmare for my business. We have a business credit card with Cap 1, after the data breach they changed the verification process for signing on, it made it impossible for us to sign on, we could not receive the texts or phone calls. We spent hours that could be counted in days trying to resolve this on the phone. Then they turned the tables on us, and sent our case to fraud department and put a permanent restriction on the card because they said we did not pass the identity verification process (submit drivers license). We did submit the drivers license, they said it was blurry, they are just refusing to let us access our account. They won't send me statements, or my cash rewards. They won't even tell me what purchases were made, I have not seen a statement since the data breach. Now I can't balance my books. They have created a nightmare for my business. I had a balance of $17k, and I paid it to avoid fees, but they refused to send me a statement of good standing. Isn't this insane?

But if your use of dollars means you're one of our American visitors, you'd be better off seeking help in your homeland, rather than the UK.0 -
