Thank you- have changed the picture to one with reference number covered.
What should I do next if there isn’t a genuine CCj?
Is there any other way of confirming this and how should I respond to them please?0 -
You have checked the authoritative register and don't have one!
Your route is as has already been advised - complaint to SRA0 -
Also noticeable that the field for the date of judgment at the start of the body of the letter is blank/missing.
Either they've messed up or are using it as a underhand way to obtain payment or get supposed debtors to contact them. But if it was the former (a mess up) and the letter should have been sent post judgment then why offer a discount?0 -

The letter says ..... On a county court judgement ????
It should say .... On (date) ?? and show the court case reference
and which court
The court would also have advised you of the outcome.
You need to request this info from BWLegal and then cross reference with the court.
BE WARNED if you phone them, they employ bulldogs, so do not be bullied by them, all you want is
1: Which court
2: The case number
3: The date
It is a very badly written letter but that is the low quality we expect from them

You should also report this to Trading Standards and your MP.
I can't see the letter. Does it say which ppc? The BPA can sometimes be useful if it's their member.
If there is no ccj then this is needs investigating.0 -

It's EXCEL ..... Tell you what Waamo, if this is fraudulent attempt to obtain money it should go to action fraud with a letter to the Secretary of State for Justice, The Rt Hon Robert Buckland QC MP and let him take this up with the SRA0 -

Action Fraud are the IPC of the enforcement world. Have you not seen the press reports, they are shocking.
Actually to be fair to the IPC I doubt they turn up drunk.0 -
If this claim had been won in court, these greedy scammers would surely not be offering a 40% discount, they would be threatening more added costs if it went to Bailiff stage, and the date field being blank would indicate they can't fill it in as there hasn't been a hearing surely.
If this is true that letter should be dynamite.0 -
