Bw legal account being considered for enforcement action county court bailiff

I’ve recieved a letter from Bw legal stating the above fir a parking contravention.
It says a county court judgement was entered against me,and offering a 40% discount to settle.

I’ve checked my credit records and Trust online- there is nothing showing on any of three about a CCJ.

Is this real? Is there a possibility that a ccj as happened without me knowing anything or it showing on the records I checked?

Show us that letter - with personal details redacted of course.

To me, it doesn't seem that you have a Judgment against you, but that's just a guess.

Have they perhaps said that they have issued a Claim against you?

The is the second one this week.

If BWLegal had won a case, they would NOT be offering a 40% discount.
This now appears to be a fraudulent scam

Do they give you a court reference number ????

letter before claim?? then the official stamped court papers- BW have not tried this stunt with me- does not sound legitimate unless you have ignored all papers, not defended, then ccj awarded????

NEWBIES - HOW TO UPLOAD LINKS TO PHOTOS/SCANS TO MSE

To upload a photo/scan link, you first need to host it on a free photo hosting site (like Dropbox, Imurg or Tinypic), copy the URL, paste it here, but change the http to hxxp and we'll do the conversion. Newbies can't directly upload links to photos/scans until they've a few posts under their belt.

  • You have left a reference number in the picture. You need to take down that image and repost with the reference covered.

Looks very dodgy to me. If they are claiming a judgement has been made against you when none has, then an immediate report to the SRA is in order. This would be fraud.

It looks to be a debt collecting scare tactic, confirmed by your trustonline search returning no ccj has been registered against you

No Claimant would make such an offer if they had a ccj against you!

(And no defendant wanting to clear a ccj from the records could do so by paying less than the judgement ordered!)
