Pandora Charms

If people are selling multiple Pandora charms on eBay, then how can they be genuine? Sorry to sound thick, but I prefer buying them from eBay as they're cheaper, but where are they getting them from?

Some people are given them & don't like them.
Some people are given them & the relationship then goes south & the recipient wants rid.

And some are frankly selling frauds. Check the seller feedback where possible.

99p from China then they wont be genuine but may look as good as the real thing.

Pandora and the other big bead brand were on the TV Last year and reckoned that more than 50% , perhaps as much as 75% of beads available for sale online and at car boots and jewellery fairs were fake.

I actually have some Pandora here, bought in a large lot of mixed costume jewellery that cost me less than £20 at auction., they are marked correctly and have all the correct silver marks but the auctioneer warned were almost certainly fakes from China so should not be sold on. I will not be selling them but I suspect the people buying other lots would have had them online as soon as they got home. A lot of Pandora is pulled by eBay when reported, but many are still sold and I suspect the majority are fakes.

People make a few quid selling pandora bags and boxes both on eBay and Facebook etc.
Charms are then purchased from China for pence, married with a genuine box and job done.
  • Likely fakes or perhaps even stolen?

Why would they need to use a genuine box?

If the forgers can create exact facsimiles of the charms and sell them for a few pennies, you can be absolutely sure that they will be able to make exact facsimiles of the boxes/bags/paperwork for even less.

Because often you can buy a dozen boxes and bags for a fiver. Not even worth turning on the printer.
  • I've been leaned on by my daughters to buy my wife Pandora charms and they have come from the Pandora store in town.

I appreciate that Jewellery is as much about sentiment but to be honest a 99p Chinese fake is better value than an original £50 charm that is worth less than £2 as scrap as soon as you walk out the door.

I would rather my skin didn't turn green or suffer some other kind of adverse reaction. Also, counterfeit items can sometimes fund organised crime. No way would I buy a fake. If you look out for voucher codes, or wait until the sales, you can get genuine Pandora items directly from Pandora for a more affordable price.
