Very little
Other than it covers a lot of different subjects. Apart from MSE I tend to frequent more specialist forums which was what I was suggesting here. What's the comparison to a stand alone one subject forum (honest question)?
I, genuinely, felt that the regulars here might like their own forum where they would be more in charge. It was only a thought.
perhaps 6 or 7 could band together and offer an appeals service0 -
Happens on other forums here. MSE don't seem that bothered. To be honest the "moderation" on MSE is so light I doubt anyone would notice.
Trust me, they do. They are lenient to a degree
I had a solicitor who got the hump in what I was saying, not by the way the rabble we see on here.
Coupon-mad had her own problems.
MSE do monitor which is good. I cannot see any of the main members sending someone to a site that does not have the knowledge of this MSE forum.
As they say on Dragons Den, "I'm out" .... it's a no go Neil, sorry0 -
LOL, imagine that...twhitehousescat wrote: »perhaps 6 or 7 could band together and offer an appeals service
Trouble is people are not necessarily who they say they are on t'internet and maybe are not all the sort of people you'd want to band together with.

I doubt a separate forum would generate anywhere near the traffic this one does. Put a ppc name into the search engine of your choice and this forum is always near the top of the hits.
I don't think you would ever replicate that amount of traffic even by redirecting people.
What might be useful is a closed forum for regular helpers to discuss things and act as a knowledge repository. In saying that I'm always in two minds over it though.0 -

There is an email group that includes me, bargepole, nosferatu1001 and some pepipoo posters. It acts in the same sort of way in that we can share info in private, and has been running for years.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That's a sensible thing to have. My thinking was to have a bit of webspace to host resources. An updated Prankster type thing. Whilst Pranksters case list etc is excellent it is getting a bit long in the tooth now as there has been a few developments in strategy since he last updated it.
A prime example is the addition of the abuse of process element in a defence. Whilst it's early days it does seem to be reaping rewards.0
