I've sold on tickets I got via ticketmaster by their own resale service. You only get face value, the cash takes a while to get through, but everyone knows they are not getting ripped off.2021 GC £1365.71/ £24000

Right okay - he's got a buyer for his tickets but its someone coming from Norway. He's arriving Wednesday evening and the ticket event is from Thursday so he doesn't know how he can get them to him. He hasn't received the money for them yet because of this.
I told him to relist them but he doesn't want to let this person down as they are very anxious to buy them. The payment is going to be by Paypal and he will send them special delivery. I have heard of this service called Poste Restante but although you can google almost anything, the post office have not listed the branches that have this service. I have emailed to find out but it takes up to 5 working days for a reply.
Its a bit of a nightmare. He said he can't go through ticketmaster because he was redirected from the Reading official page when he bought them and for some reason his ticket numbers are not coming up. I told him to ring them but he's too busy trying to sort it out with this Norwegian. Can anyone think of a safe place he could send the tickets for collection. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -
The reason for not going could dictate his rights here - e.g. if the girlfriend changed her mind, she could well be liable for her half of the tickets.0

You can contact a post office in the area you want to send something and ask them if they provide that service.
He would need to agree one with the buyer as he would have to be able to go to it in office hours.
Beware a scam.
Will the person be prepared to send the money before he has the tickets in his hand?
Will he collect the tickets then not send the money?
It is much safer to hand over the tickets personally and get cash.0 -

He is going to pay by Paypal and my son won't send them till he has the money. Personally I think he should relist them on Twickets. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -
relist. paypal can be reversed after you think you have a sale. this is just too much messing about to be safe!2021 GC £1365.71/ £24000

Exactly, all the buyer needs to do is to tell Paypal he didn't receive the tickets or they didn't work.
Very risky.0 -

Ditto.
Look on eBay subforum for how PayPal payments can be cancelled after tickets have been used.Originally Posted by shortcrust

Never mind the dodgy 'Norwegian buyer' story - and I agree with all the advice you've been given on that part of the saga - the bit in bold makes me wonder if the tickets are even genuine in the first place. As does your son's reluctance to take the most obvious route to getting a refund. What would Buzz do?

yes, all sounds a bit dodgy - if someone were travelling from Norway surely they would have sorted tickets well before now.
Did your son potentially get scammed himself, which is why they can't go and he doesn't want to lose face to his parent(s) admitting this and expecting the 'I told you so / why didn't you tell us before / what made you buy from that site' etc that he thinks he might get?
Assuming they are weekend tickets with camping I'm pretty sure these are more than £200.
How did he pay? Can he look at reclaiming via his credit card / paypal if he's been scammed?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
